Warren Gamaliel Kpakpo Akwei (4 May 1923 – 22 December 2008)

Ghanaian Singer-Songwriter, Arranger, Actor, Record Producer, Journalist, DJ, Broadcaster, and Drummer, Guy Warren (Kofi Ghanaba), was the inventor of Afro-Jazz (the reuniting of African - American Jazz with its African roots). He was a member of the Group, The Tempos, inspired Fela Kuti and worked with Duke Ellington, Max Roach, Charlie Parker and Louis Armstrong. He also released a strong body of solo work.
