Wayne Smith (5 December 1965 – 17 February 2014)


Reggae and Dancehall Musician, Wayne Smith, was regarded as the Artist, whose 1985 hit Single ushered in digital era of Reggae music. He began is run at around 13 years old on Sound Systems and then branched off into Recording. He moved to New York in 1989 and established his own Record label (Sleng Teng Records), worked with numerous Producers and after many years he returned to live in Mandeville, Jamaica in 2013. He died in 2014 at aged 48 years, after going to the hospital with severe stomach pains.
