Edward Lee Floyd (born June 25, 1937)

Soul - R&B Singer and Songwriter, Eddie Floyd, founded The Falcons, which were forerunners to The Temptations and The Four Tops. He wrote songs at Stax Records for other Artists (Carla  Thomas, Wilson Pickett, Booker T & the MGs, Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Rufus Thomas, Johnnie Taylor and others) during the 1960's and 1970's and also garnered a solo R&B number 1 hit. He continued on with a successful solo career.
