Jazz Greats: Al Grey

Al Grey (June 6, 1925 – March 24, 2000)

Jazz Trombonist, Al Grey, worked with the Count Basie Orchestra and was active between 1946 and 1990. He had tenures with Benny  Carter, Lucky Millinder, Jimmie Lunceford, Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie and others. He was regarded for his plunger mute technique.
