J. C. Johnson

ay Cee Johnson  (September 14, 1896 – February 27, 1981)

Pianist and Songwriter, J. C. Johnson, wrote for Bessie Smith, Ella Fitzgerald, Ethel Waters and others and was a part of Blind Willie Dunn & His Gin Bottle Four during the 1930's. He was an ambulance driver during World War ll and continued his career after the War with his songs being featured in movies. He died in 1981; please take a listen here and have a relaxing Sunday:
