Red Prysock

Wilburt Prysock (February 2, 1926 – July 19, 1993)


Rhythm and Blues Tenor Saxophonist, Red Prysock, was the brother of Arthur Prysock. Although he was influenced by Jazz Great, Coleman Hawkins, his memorable hits and collaborations were all from the Rhythm and Blues genre. He released works as a Bandleader during the 1950's and was prominent on some hits of the era. He was also a part of the US Army during World War ll; he died in 1993.
