Russell Jacquet

Russell Jacquet (December 4, 1917 - February 28, 1990)

Trumpeter, Russell Jacquet, was the elder brother of Tenor Saxophonist, Illinois Jacquet, whom he worked with for many years. He led his own Band, which was the House Band at the Cotton Club from 1945 to 1949. His remaining career included memberships in Groups and Sideman work.
