Jazz Greats: The International Sweethearts of Rhythm

The International Sweethearts of Rhythm

Swing and Jazz All Women's Band, The International Sweethearts of Rhythm, was an excellent group of Musicians that began their tenure during the 1940's. They were regulars at the Apollo Theater, Regal Theater and Howard Theater, but only a few recordings were made by the Group. The members were of different races (Black, Latina, Asian, Caucasian, Indian and Puerto Rican). Group members also had successful solo careers and led Bands of their own. Please take a listen here and have a beautiful Saturday: Bugle Call Rag and She's crazy with the heat
