Joe McPhee (born November 3, 1939)
Jazz Multi-instrumentalist (Tenor, Alto and Soprano Saxophone, Trumpet, Flugelhorn and Valve Trombone), Critic and Educator, Joe Mcphee, has been a main force in Free Jazz for over 50 years. He lectured at Vassar College during the 1960's and 1970's and still remains active mostly as a touring Artist.
