Sly and Robbie
Jamaican Rhythm Section and Production Duo, Sly and Robbie, consist of Drummer Sly Dunbar and Bassist Robbie Shakespeare. They have been active as a Duo since the 1970's, but had their Solo beginnings some years earlier. They were involved in the changes of the Reggae beat from 'One Drop' to 'Rockers' to 'Rub a Dub' and then Digital music. The Duo have Toured with, Produced and Recorded with many (Peter Tosh, Grace Jones, Joe Cocker, Gwen Guthrie, Simply Red, Carly Simon, Black Uhuru, Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Sting, Shaggy, No Doubt and many others).
