George Adams

George Rufus Adams (April 29, 1940 Covington , Georgia – November 14, 1992 New York City)

Jazz Multi-instrumentalist (Tenor Saxophone, Flute and Bass Clarinet) and Composer, George Adams, began his musical journey at aged 9 years old on the Piano before branching off to other instruments. He was a Sideman to numerous Musicians (Charles Mingus, Don Pullen, McCoy Tyner, Art Blakey and many others) . He also co-led a Quartet and released Albums as a Bandleader beginning in 1975.
