Tribute Mondays: Gloria Davy

Gloria Davy (March 29, 1931, Brooklyn – November 28, 2012, Geneva)

Soprano Opera Singer, Gloria Davy, was born in America, but was recognized as a Swiss performer. She was active in numerous Operas and Concerts from the 1950's to the 1980's and was renown for being a talented Spinto Soprano. Miss Davy taught voice at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University from 1984 to 1997. She helped to break down the barriers of racial prejudice in the Opera world.  Thanks for your contribution Miss Davy you are appreciated.
