Vanita Smythe (January 13, 1925 – January 18, 1994)

Blues and Jazz Singer and Actress, Vanita Smythe, worked between 1945 and 1950 releasing some Soundies, Starring in two Motion Pictures and releasing a few Singles. She worked at the 440 Club and also the Cotton Club, as well as performing at several other revered venues. She left music after marrying; she died in 1994.
