Byrdie Green (1936 – April 26, 2008)

Jazz and R&B Singer, Byrdie Green, began singing in her father's church and went on to perform in clubs. She became the protégé of Ruth Brown and also worked many times with Johnny "Hammond" Smith. She also released her much loved solo Albums that contained some memorable singles.
