Dan Burley (November 7, 1907 in
Lexington, Kentucky – October 29, 1962 in Chicago , Illinois)


Dan Burley & His Skiffle Boys was led by Pianist, Composer and Journalist, Dan Burley, whom worked as an Editor at many African American Publications (New York Age, Amsterdam News, Ebony, Jet and Duke). They released Skiffle Music (Jazz, Blues, Folk and American Folk influences played with homemade improvised instruments) during the 1940's. The Band seemingly ended in the 1950's.
