Jazz / Swing Greats: Tyree Glenn

William Tyree Glenn (born Nov. 23, 1912, Corsicana, Texas, US – May 18, 1974, Englewood, New Jersey, US),

Trombone Player and Vibraphone Player, Tyree Glenn, was a much loved Swing Musician that worked in regarded Bands during the 1930's after crafting his skills in local Texas Bands. He was a studio and touring Musician that worked with several Artists (Benny Carter, Cab Calloway, Don Redman, Duke Ellington and others. He led a Quartet in the 1950's and worked on Television and Radio. Mr. Glenn wrote "Sultry Serenade".
