Jennell Ruth Hawkins (née

Grimes , April 8, 1938 – October 13, 2006)


R&B Singer and Musician (Piano and Organ), Jennell Hawkins, had her most productive period between the 1950's and the 1960's,working in Groups and as a Solo Artist. She left the industry briefly in the 1960's and drove the hearse and played the Organ at funerals for funeral companies to make ends meet. She returned in a Sextet in the 1960's and continued into the 2000's. She suffered a stroke in 2005 and died in 2006. Thanks for your contribution Mrs. Hawkins, you are appreciated.
