The Raelettes
Girl Group, The Raelettes, were active from the 1950's to the early 2000's and were created to be Backing Vocalists for Ray Charles. They were initially called The Cookies and was reformed as the Raelettes in 1958, and continued for years with various members. Their own material were produced between 1966 and 1973. Group member Margie Hendrix died of a drug overdose in 1973.
